Recent studies show that more than ever before, the world now has better education and even better systems for training people. However, while humans are getting smarter, we are nowhere near figuring out how to all get along and how to be happy. This has been attributed to the fact that wisdom or emotional intelligence is not included in the formal education curriculum. This course teaches children (and interested adults) the fundamentals of good citizenship, ethics and morals. The course teaches the importance of wisdom and emotional intelligence in human relations. At the Academy of Honour we teach our students the principles of good leadership and reinforce the core leadership values of selfless commitment, respect for others, loyalty, integrity, discipline and courage. We also teach the basics of philosophy, consciousness and spirituality; and explore wisdom through the teachings of some of the world’s greatest philosophical teachers to give our students a grasp of the principles of reality, knowledge, values and ethics based on logical reasoning, and how to live in happiness, beauty and peace with one another.
