The English penchant for manners and socially appropriate behaviour is renowned across the world. There is no more quintessential British ritual than the ceremony and service of Afternoon tea. The custom goes back to the 7th Duchess of Bedford in the early 19th century. Afternoon tea has spread across the globe as a social grace for the elite of the world. This course will take you through the stages of hosting and/or attending an Afternoon tea from the history of high tea, the correct set-up, the menu and how to serve and drink Afternoon tea.
