“The human brain starts working the moment you are born and never stops… until you stand up to speak in public.” – George Jessel

According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy, states Jerry Seinfield. Most people find the fear of standing up and speaking in front of a group to be much greater that the fear of death. It is no secret that most of us find ourselves sweating and shaking when we are about to get up to speak in front of a group of people. In this course we teach you the essentials of public speaking from planning your ideal communication to confident delivery. We teach you the attitudes and fundamentals including voice projection, body language, posture, poise and the importance of eye contact. The course will also include an introduction to communications skills, verbal, non-verbal, including the use of aids in communication, persuasive language, paraphrasing, appropriacy of language, etiquette and social convention as well as, voice correction and modulation.
“There are always three speeches, for every one you actually gave. The one you practiced, the one you gave, and the one you wish you gave.” – Dale Carnegie
